Season after Pentecost
“But how are they to call on one in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in one of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone to proclaim him?”
Romans 10:14

Not everyone has the specific spiritual gift of evangelism, and that’s fine. But, as St. Peter puts it, each of us is called to be ready to give an account of the hope that is ours—always with gentleness and reverence (1 Peter 3:15a-16a). We sometimes have a stunted imagination for the fact that the gospel that’s so integral to us might also be a gift for others. The feast that feeds us is worth sharing.

Loquacious God, loosen our tongues. Teach us, by Your Spirit, the words to say that will welcome others into the hope we have found. We pray through Christ, who joyfully proclaimed Your kingdom. Amen
