“The stone that the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone. This is the LORD’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes. This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Save us, we beseech you, O LORD!”
Psalm 118:22-25a

Praising the handiwork of God, the psalmist marvels at what God has built from discards, recognizing this builder as the same One who has created our days from nothingness. If God can redeem the rejected stone as foundational, necessary, and good, we say along with the psalmist, “Save us, too!”

Let us rejoice and be glad in all that You have made, O God. We are renewed by the saving work of Christ, and we marvel at Your generosity, Your care, Your love for Your creation. Help us to steward Your gifts with humility. Amen
